Pink

Is your instagrid looking like a Marrakech photoshoot at the moment? Ours too. Pink is having a real moment, quite fittingly as we move towards summer and want to capture the glorious warmth of a sunset in our own homes.

Absolutely not just for girls, and far from the neon Barbie tones of the 80s, today’s popular pinks span a range of shades: dusky, dirty pinks deriving from terracotta, a material renowned for its strength and durability in countless sunbeaten cities; softer pinks evoking the freshness of blossom; and of course salmony rose gold, famously beloved of Millenials.

Pink is the colour of hospitality, it’s blush creating a glow for guests, as Maharaja Ram Singh knew when he painted the entire city of Jaipur to greet Prince Albert in 1876. You don’t need to go quite that far, but we hope you will join us in the pink this May, glass of rosé optional.
